Its been a while, just thought I'd share a picture taken while on vacation. I've had to put away alot of my art stuff for the time being and that leaves me with a camera. Mine broke so I've got to send it off and see if they can fix it. I don't recommend the camera I got, Kodak Z1285, they seem to have a this habit of dying with the lense out and then you are unable to get it working again. So until I get that fixed I will probably try playing with my husbands camera.

Its just so bright and cheery and it makes me happy. I just got a new camera to play with.

I've been away from my painting for a little while now, I want to get back at it, but things aren't working on that front.

Ideas

So after talking with a friend Saturday, I've decide to explore graphic design. I've starting to think this career path has real potential for me. It would let me do something that I really enjoy full time. ART. So I need to keep looking into and figure it all out, but I am really thinking about moving forward with this. Taking some classes. I've already got one degree, so that should help. I am starting to feel excited.

Just thought I share this one. I've been trying to think of a way to use this in a mixed media piece. I'm thinking I will get this one blown up a bit and then frame it. Every time I look at it, I can remember the feeling I had in that moment, while driving home from Virginia- such peace, freedom and the feeling of pure wonder.

Its Been a While

So its been a while since I posted here. I got some paints for christmas- golden paints, which I've played with a little, I love them. They are so much nicer than the liquitex paints I have. They are just smoother or something. Not sure how to explain it- I guess I should chalk it up to a better quality product. I've achieved some cool results mixing the golden paints with the liquitex glaze mix.

The colors that I can achieve with the golden paints is much better than the liquitex paints. I guess thats what I really like about them, the mix-i-bility.

I will try to take a picture of the background that I want to use for some ATC's. I'm planning on starting those in the next couple of weeks. I hope to be able to take some pictures soon as I also want to post the piece I made for my mom for christmas.
