I am Legend

So I went to see "I am Legend" on Sunday, and it was not what I expected. We saw it at the IMAX theater, and it wasn't the best format for it, to many camera moves that make you feel a bit motion sick. I just wasn't expecting it to be a "thriller/horror" movie, I was expecting something else, but thinking back the trailers weren't very helpful. I don't want to spoil the movie but, there was one section which just didn't need to happen. I was almost ready to walk out at that part, with the dog. Maybe I'm just to sensitive or because I wasn't expecting it to be that kind of movie.

Random thoughts

So today is one of those days when I should be doing other stuff, but am feeling rather compelled to sit and procrastinate.

Last night I went to see I am Legend, with some friends. It was not the movie I was expecting, it was more of a thriller/horror film, than I had expected based on the previews. One part of the movie really upset me. I just didn't think it need to be done.

So my brilliant idea this morning was it would be a great dieting idea, if someone would create an advent like calender for dieters. Something along the idea of you can have one piece of this really good chocolate a day, to help keep the cravings down? I love advent calenders, I just had the last chocolate today, and it just seemed like such a great plan, make a monthly calender with really good chocolates, and you could have a piece a day. Ahh... well probably not such a great idea, but I was thinking if I bought something like that versus a bag of chocolate or a bar of chocolates, I could help keep myself happy (with chocolate) and stick to my diet (not so good at it, even when I try to think of it as a life-style change).

Ohh well, enough of my procratinating for this morning, but get on with the cooking and cleaning to prep for tomorrow.

Camera's

So yesterday I went to the book store and checked out the magazine racks, finding this one called shutterbug, which I ended up buying. It was a good buy because as I read thru it this morning I found a possible alternative to spending a lot of money on photoshop. There is a program by ulead, that goes for $90.00 dollars.I currently have an older verison of Photoshop elements, which I just don't like all that much. So I've been thinking I might just save up and buy the full version, but after seeing and reading about this alternative I may go that way instead. Some days I think I need to pick one medium and just really focus on it and other days I think why should I do just one thing when so many others really do appeal to me. Ah, well, sooner or later one of them will really get its hooks into me. Or maybe I just really enjoy working with so may different medias, and the fact is mixed media is the way I will go.
